Self-sustaining explosions of fab and florid audio to keep you warm and wonderful from the inside out. Tuesday July the 9th ~ Disintegrating layers of music and majesty knit anew in the alchemical dungeon of Palmer & Co as an epic free set unfolds from 9PM til close at 2 or 3 AM. Friday July the 12th ~ This sporting life requires absolute discipline and rigorous training, explicitly evinced today by my early morning commute to Redfern so as to commentate on matters Rugby League via FBi Radio's fabled Fire Up program. Join Stephen Ferris, Kris Gale and myself from 9.20AM as we dissect Origin overkill and the renewal of Newcastle. Paraphrased newsprint and concussive levels of coffee are par for the coarse! I'm ashamed to say that by nightfall my principled objections to ANY OTHER CODE will have been exposed as mere hot air, as I've belatedly accepted an invitation to the launch of the charity Aussie Rules annual Community Cup at Cottonmouth Records. More specifically, I have been conscripted by the media-based Sydney Sailors to battle the muso-based Walers (can't spell, or don't want to - bit of baggage with that term hey) on the wheels of steel. My opponent ain't just just any old mammal-killing hobbyist masquerading as a proper selector mind you - I'm up against the once-venerable Leader of the Opposition, DJ Albo, a man who was unable to dredge up a creative performance of any kind when he appeared on my program to pledge cash-if-we-win, instead leaving Tanya Plibersek to heroically carry the can for our obligatory format through her charming recitation a favourite childhood poem. Though I guess you could argue Albo's reliance on other people's work makes him the perfect DJ. Either way he's playing for the wrong damn team tonight and is consequently gonna get creamed. See the whole sorry tabloid fiasco play out live from 6 til 9 for free - and donate generously! Saturday July the 13th ~ It's too early to say with any certainty what might be happening on Jack Off this week - but we have an invite extant to the arch and erudite Robert Forster. Time will tell if we swing that visit at long last. Listen in between 3 and 5PM for a smokin' show of saucy songs and stories regardless. Comments are closed.
