Field Recordings
Here are a few field recordings, made during a global wander in late 2014. Hear what turned out to be a radiant Kiwi hymn as night fell in Porto; a West Indian Parade day gearing up at Crown Heights in NYC; and an exquisitely evocative stroll through the sweltering streets of Old Havana - overflowing with music, children and the vibrant sounds of daily life.
The latter was contributed to the phenomenal Radio Aporee sound map of our planet at the suggestion of a listener, following Jack's travelogue broadcast montage on returning to Sydney. Subsequently it has been reposted for posterity on the Internet Archive, where it is available as a free download for attributed non-commercial use. Tickle yr ears and travel now!
