Gratis night delights, as we turn to face the sun... Wednesday June the 26th ~ Every Wednesday at Palmer & Co between 10 and 1.30. Thursday June the 27th ~ Wink and Spin wakes Woy Woy on the final Thursday of each month, from 6 til 10, at Link and Pin. Pop in! Saturday June the 29th ~ Jack Off strolled down memory lane with Jess Ribeiro last week, witnessing some formative early native animal encounters on either side of her cover of Big Star's Kangaroo. Listen back here. Our intended guest this week, Ricky Albeck, has had an awful combo of illness and the theft of musical gear put paid to his trip up here so it'll just be little old me broadcasting on FBi, til 5, from 3. Thereafter it's the daily double in town: a non-stop block of rock beginning at 6 via Maybe Sammy, before jinking up to Dean and Nancy on 22 come 9. All the racket ceases around half past 12. Arrivederci! Elemental audio intersections granted gratis... Wednesday June the 19th ~ Sub-street streaming at Palmer & Co from 10 til 1.30 Saturday June the 22nd ~ Post-solstice radio with Jess Ribeiro on Jack Off Sky high sonics at Dean and Nancy on 22 9 til 12.30 Free ways to warm up via sanguine sounds within. Wednesday June the 12th ~ Palmer & Co from 10 tonight til around 1.30am. Free Saturday June the 15th ~ Good Morning may manifest on Jack Off between 3 & 5. I'll then stir sonics at Maybe Sammy from 6 til 9. Sham DJs reunite with vinyl akimbo at the Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre - 3 hours starting at 8.30. Escaped audio emissions on slippery dates... Tuesday June the 4th ~ Musical hairs: a full live line-up got rained-out of Vivid at Tumbalong Park on the weekend and has only been able to reassemble on the date I was scheduled to play there, next Monday, the 'King's Birthday'. However I will still be spinning my intended 4 hour audio-visual extravaganza (in tandem with The Lost Futures, ex Vidiot) TONIGHT, due to a fellow selector (and friend) coming down with COVID. Please join us there for some lush local manifestations of memory and meaning. Entry is free and all ages are welcome. We spark up from 6. Wednesday June the 5th ~ After catching the world premiere of my old mate Paul Clarke's new doco on Midnight Oil, in the splendiferous State Theatre (where it opens this year's Sydney Film Festival), I'm (re)gathering in sub-street staple Palmer & Co, playing gratis murky music for the Tank Stream set, from 10 til around 2. Friday June the 7th ~ By Friday I'll have collated a fresh crate of vinyl to carve up with my new cartridges at the Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre. Hustle through the streaming streets and join me there for smoking Chinese meats or bitter brews, between 8.30 & 11.30. Saturday June the 8th ~ Jack Off will transmit from a relatively calm studio this Saturday, rather a change from raucous and ridiculous rigmarole of Drunk Mums last week. Listen back to that fab fiasco, or choose a languid live immersion from 3 til 5 instead. The choice is yours. Afterwards I'm excited to play the wedding of Izabela and Tobey in Alexandria. It has been a while since I've been enmeshed in a large loving ritual like this - and we've been planning the particulars from opposite sides of the Earth since last year. Whatever you are up to, I hope you can stay cozy and dry across the week. Catch you this time next one x |
