Minin' for mould in serene surrounds at Splendour... Wednesday July the 26th ~ Sumhow mah fambly preveiled with tha besst yett. Swingin' at the Speakeasy affords a soft landin' between 10 and 1 or 2 tonight in town. Gratis. Friday July the 28th ~ Sin City Soirée kinda makes for the opposite! Prolonged debauchery in the Doris Goddard Saloon at the Hollywood Hotel, with Sham DJs spinning a sordid set all the way from 9 til 2. Free for every body. Saturday July the 22nd ~ Jack Off stands for artists over industry: 3 til 5. Lastly, gratis tunes high above the city from half 8 to half 11 at Dean and Nancy on 22. Peace people xo The sound of (sm)art money shredding outside. Wednesday July the 19th ~ Be reborn again Swingin' at the Speakeasy, 10 til 2. Friday July the 21st ~ Pilgrims of great faith traveling north to Splendour In The Grass, despite the utter apocalypse of last year, I pledge to do my duty and reward you with perfectly placed numbers throughout. DJ Soup will partner me across the weekend this year, with all Gold Bar brackets between main-stage acts filled with tunes of our choosing. On day one Soup plays the day and I the night (my boyfriend needs to shoot two cults over two days on the way, true-ish story, so I won't be onsite til evening). Saturday July the 22nd ~ Days of almost-no-sleep between Sydney, the Sunshine Coast, the hinterlands and the Splendour site (til 2AM on the first night) will not stop me taking the reins from midday til 6 in the Gold Bar. After that all bets are off as I'm gonna lose it to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (healing the trauma of their cancellation last year), then Flume, before stretching my legs in the Shack as Colonel Waylon P. Flawstain III shakes the joint down once again. Jack Off will proceed on FBi under the tender auspices of Jonny Seymour. Hopefully I'll be able to cross live from Yelgun with an update on the state of play in Northern NSW, somewhere between 3 and 5. Sunday July the 23rd ~ To finally fry what scant synapses remain by Sunday I'll spin midday til 3 & 5.30 til 9 at the Gold Bar. Then I'm bailing to build fires, play pinball and wait my turn to incinerate the inveterate party-animals gathered at the Shack to scale rafters, swill booze and smoke that secret, sacred, place sky-high one more motherfucking time. Playing the Splendour In The Grass afterparty there each year remains one of the great joys and privileges in my life. If you will be at the festival find me - or just find a way. Only the ardent ever figure that mission, as it should be. The Colonel will tear it up from 10, then Soup and I will push it beyond form from 2 til dawn. Tunes at the eternally-trusted tempo of sexy-time. Wednesday July the 12th ~ Original balls-to-the-wall jukebox hits and rarities during Swingin' at the Speakeasy. 10 til 1. Gratis! Friday July the 14th ~ Overload on sensuous sound for five hours bent as I debut at the sumptuous Golden Age Cinema and Bar between 8PM and 1AM. No charge to listen peeps. Saturday July the 15th ~ Jack Off measures down on FBi betwixt 3 and 5. Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre freely soaks in sordid songs of ancient adolescence from 8.30-11.30. Almost endless audio apparently contained within. Wednesday July the 5th ~ Fold letters for Swingin' at the Speakeasy 10 til 1. Friday July the 7th ~ Bold betters at the Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre between 8.30 and 11.30. Free like all. Saturday July the 8th ~ Rolled agenda setters on Jack Off from 3 til 5. Band bedwetters at Dean and Nancy on 22 9 til 12.30. |
