Wednesday November the 23rd ~ Parisian residents Leigh Baker (double bass) and Heather Stewart (vocals and violin) arrive on our shores, bringing a gun band to bear for a gratis gig during Swingin' at the Speakeasy this evening. 7 til 10 for the live fare (with interstitial sets from Pia Andersen on the decks) before I bring it on home from 10 til the early, early morn. Friday November the 25th ~ Sin City Soirée inhales the heavenly nectars of sound and spirit. Free at the Hollywood all night. Saturday November the 26th ~ Jack Off broadcasts music & talks texts. 3 til 5PM. Dean and Nancy on 22 floats atop the city as I spin enchanting audio from across the globe. No charge for entry but booking can be vital. 9PM til 12.30AM. Relayed repetitions of recreational factors perspiring and ever-evolving local actors. Sporting chance and indeed life (perhaps some dated threads too) at Marrickville's Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre. Half 8 til half 11. No charge. Hot trots & high dread counts for kids on the cusp. Wednesday November the 9th ~ Keep cool deep below the city streets / bake yr body Swingin' at the Speakeasy. 10PM til 2AM. Free. Friday November the 11th ~ Getting myself tidy to spin moving music, through my own immaculate public address system, in a Hungarian restaurant, for Andy and Andrew's wedding. Saturday November the 12th ~ Jack Off is as mysterious as the Earth itself. Sometime between 3 and 5 this Saturday arvo you might hear live music from Toby Martin and Amanda Brown emanate from the radiophonie aether. Or not. On a more solid footing I pledge that later that evening drinkers and diners at Dean and Nancy on 22 will hear an ebullient set of songs from 9 til around half 12. It's free but book to be sure of entry. Know also that Sham DJs debut public gig will take place on NYE at the same venue, saturated by dazzling fireworks and sublime sounds atop the CBD.
