Experience escalating audio edging eternally 4 free. Wednesday April the 26th ~ 10PM til 2AM during Swingin' at the Speakeasy. Friday April the 28th ~ 9PM til 2AM at the Hollywood for Sin City Soireé. Saturday April the 29th ~ On air as Luce debuts on Jack Off from 3 til 5PM. In a South Coast valley as Qian Qian and Kevin wed. Take off for long-weekend audio adventures akimbo. Wednesday April the 19th ~ Swingin' at the Speakeasy has live music for drinkers and dancers from Pat Capocci's Kings of Rhythm between 7 and 10, then I replace Pia Andersen on the decks til around 2 in the morn. Always free. Friday April the 21st ~ The Gum Ball is the best BYO festival in this State: fire-fuelled, kid and dog friendly and run by a true blue local family in the Hunter each Easter. Check the whole line-up for the weekend here. Day one climaxes with Mudhoney, after which both Sham DJs and Urby will fire up three channels of Silent Disco dance and drama for singers of every stripe til 2AM. Saturday April the 22nd ~ Once we truck back down to the big smoke to broadcast Jack Off there's perhaps some chance I will have cajoled Mudhoney into swinging by the FBi studios on their drive south too. Tune in between 3 and 5PM to see if that possibility comes to pass. Afterwards I'm stoked to be playing my debut set for the new Maybe Group venue El Primo Sanchez at the old Three Weeds in Paddo. This joint is really kitted out, as stunning sonically as it is visually. Join me there to feast on Mexican food, down sassy cocktails and dance to a marvellous mess of latin rhythms and melodies all the way from 8 til 1. Free! Monday April the 24th ~ After a much-needed day of rest I'll have the honour of playing music for the wedding of Tanya and Sam in Potts Point. It has been a such a pleasure to liaise with this ultra-organised couple of passionate music fans. Makes my job a dream. Can't wait! Tuesday April the 25th ~ Finally to ANZAC Day where Australians process the horrors of war by gambling and getting on the piss! Unsurprisingly I'll be situated in a brewery, namely the vast yet classy/glassy Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre in Marrickville. The unusual aspect here comes prior to my 7 til 10PM set, as two rare live music performances take place - first Babitha at 4.30, then Tim Rogers himself from 6. There are no tickets and no passouts so if you wanna see the shows rock up anytime from midday with a lobster in hand! All proceeds go to Legacy. Find free music in this world of beauty and pain. Wednesday April the 12th ~ Swingin' at the Speakeasy at Palmer & Co. 10 til 2. Friday April the 14th ~ Maybe Sammy in The Rocks from 9 til 1. Saturday April the 15th ~ Jack Off on FBi Radio between 3 and 5. Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre, 8.30 til 11.30. |
