Spiritual surgery via song, for you and everyone. Friday September the 25th ~ Oceanic interludes and vast sonic vistas over the Eastern seabord, all via the easily-accessed front bar of The Paddington. 5 til 9PM. Completely free. Saturday September the 26th ~ Jack Off delves deep to access collective compassion and mystique, working wonders once a year during supporter drive to Bring It On Home for yr local champion of emerging arts and culture, FBi Radio. Whilst the entire affair this year is necessarily more online and distanced than usual, we've been granted special dispensation to have all three rotating producers (thank you Isabel, Hugh and James) present in the station simultaneously. This is the key annual instance where we shamelessly grant requests whilst plugging the bands and businesses of the lovely listeners who help us survive. But this year, in addition to personally thanking you and responding to yr stated wishes via our web portal, we're also seeking to talk to you directly. 2020 has been so intense, so raw and real, so tragic and humane, stark and sweet. I've felt this in the most palpable way while broadcasting throughout the pandemic. It has made me even more profoundly grateful for our beautiful community and this heroic little radio station. So rather than banging on myself as usual I genuinely want to share the air with our bright and brilliant listeners. Thus I invite you to follow in the footsteps of both our older regular texters and the several four-year-olds who've already spoken on air this year. Kindly call 83322999 between 3 and 5PM and I will put you directly to air. I trust you. I love you. FBi needs you and we are all improved by the presence of each other. Yr welcome to speak of anything you wish of course - but I'd especially love to hear what FBi has done for you, particularly of late. And I do want to open up the airwaves to even more children - so parents, if yr kids are keen to say g'day and shoot the Shit live with me please make them feel free. Right now we need regeneration across the board. Heartfelt humour, curiosity and glee. We're opening this up entirely. Give us a shout! Also I should mention, one lucky listener who joins or renews as a supporter before 4.30PM will receive one of our best day prizes yet: not only a year's subscription to The Saturday Paper but a case of delicious Italian-inspired wines from the Adelaide Hills courtesy of Unico Zelo. Enter yr details here by at half past 4 on Saturday arvo to be in the running. I wanna give it to you! Aromatic audio plus train breezers for b(l)uffs. Thursday September the 17th ~ A litany of linguistic liberties will be taken as I spin songs on the Grammarphone. Palmer & Co. Free. From 9PM til close at around 1 in the morning. Friday September the 18th ~ Moderately more modern music fills every space of The Paddington between 9 and midnight. Also free. Saturday September the 19th ~ Jack Off never stops. 3 til 5PM on FBi Radio. Tuesday September the 22nd ~ After a sold-out Hamilton special Julian Morrow's Totally F*ct Trivia returns to Giant Dwarf with a more general approach to the farcical details of life. Stream and play live between 6.30 and 7.45. Skip to hook-learnin' and the wisdom of the sheets! Tuesday September the 8th ~ The real-life in-body experience with fellow humans in a room is sold out - but streaming participation remains available to all, as the Totally F*ct Trivia - Hamilton edition goes live from Giant Dwarf at 6.30PM tonight. Julian Morrow is yr host and he has kindly fed me a few ultra-nerdy audio references to the questions (that I otherwise wing my way through blind) in my role as music maestro this evening. Friday September the 11th ~ I just wake up like this: playing more sassy tunes as the sun sets over Oxford Street, in The Paddington's front bar, for free, from 5 til 9PM. Saturday September the 12th ~ Shimmy with spirit, strength and sorrow as Jack Off airs again on FBi Radio between 3 and 5PM. Found sounds in fragrant surrounds. Thursday September the 3rd ~ Step out to Palmer & Co and kick yr heels up to a free bracket of antique audio from 9PM til 1AM. Friday September the 4th ~ Spin out at a gratis four hours of sublime sunset songs in the salubrious setting of The Paddington, betwixt 5 and 9PM. Saturday September the 5th ~ Cavort topless and worship the goddess - as Jack Off airs mystical music on FBi Radio between 3 and 5PM. |
