Absurd aural artefacts act out on a silent screen. Wednesday March the 27th ~ No Shit: because I DJ sitting down at an old timber desk at Palmer & Co, people often think I'm playing piano, even when there neither instrument features in the song I have triggered on the CDJs. That is how much attention mug punters pay while I spin out here, weekly between 10PM and 2AM, for free. Friday March the 29th ~ If you are already cooked from cooking up Easter treats by the afternoon of Good Friday you could do a lot worse than joining me at the Oxford House Pool Bar for delicious food and a sunset cocktail or two. I'll float some fab free tunes out from 4 til 6.30. Saturday March the 30th ~ Deeper into the long weekend you can catch Jack Off drawing drastic shapes on yr dial from 3 til 5. Thence the fancypants go on again as I levitate to a higher level, manifesting music above the CBD via a gratis 9PM til 12.30AM set, at Dean and Nancy on 22. Been on a brief jaunt south of the border. Back now. Friday March the 22nd ~ Free and early at Dean and Nancy on 22 from 6 til 9. Saturday March the 23rd ~ Live transmission of Jack Off between 3 & 5, always. Thence more gratis sunset fare 6 to 9 @ Maybe Sammy. Spectracular ways to stay safe and sweet in Sydney. Thursday March the 14th ~ Revise yr biblical knowledge of the burning bush from the cellar of Palmer & Co - 6 til 10PM. Free Friday March the 15th ~ Lounge like Lola at the Oxford House Pool Bar as the weekend begins to unfold - 4 til 6.30. Gratis Saturday March the 16th ~ Jack Off with Chloe from The Native Cats (pictured above), as hosted by Luce in my absence last week, for sublime synths and frank wisdom at yr leisure. Otherwise cop my hot mess live from 3 til 5. Directly afterwards I'll spin skewiff vinyl through the flash system at Busby's from 6 til 8.30, before hotfooting it to the Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure to reconvene Sham DJs through til 11.30. All free Ex (nude) model manufactures music from rare air. Wednesday March the 6th ~ Hitch up yr skirts and descend the stairs to Palmer & Co in the city for free tunes from 10 til 2. Friday March the 8th ~ Another sonic scenario in the CBD plays out high above ground level after sundown, as a timeless set of songs are sent forth to drinkers and diners, gratis at Dean and Nancy on 22 between 9 and 12.30. Saturday March the 9th ~ After the marvellous Mardi Gras mix that Jonny Seymour sent out last week (while I took care of the tunes at a wedding) Jack Off will again be broadcast via a guest selector, as ex-producer Luce Tecla hosts The Native Cats from Tassie live in the studio ahead of their gig at the Gaelic. 3 til 5. Tune in! I have long harboured a wish to have that group as guests so it pained me to bail on the responsibility after teeing it up, however I was made an offer too good to refuse: to deploy my love of maritime music on behalf of some international guests on a private vessel all day and night. Happily managed to square the Simons by employing Mr Caldwell as my co-DJ aboard. Shall back on deck/s at FBi next week. |
