Auditory hallucinations heat each and every orifice. Wednesday August the 30th ~ Musical minds matter whilst Swingin' at the Speakeasy. Get a wriggle on from 10 til 2 for free. Friday September the 1st ~ Jessica and Kaelen wed in style in town while I spin some of their faves for dinner and the dancefloor. Saturday September the 2nd ~ Jack Off welcomes the sublime and stylish Georgia Mooney, strumming her dulcimer and singing songs from her debut solo album, live in the FBi studios between 3 and 5PM. I've broadcast in that exact timeslot years longer than even the official 20 FBi turned yesterday. Experience the wisdom of the ragers via the wonderful conversation Chrissy Amphlett and Louis Tillett shared with me on air back in 2005 here. Afterwards I'll ascend again to Dean and Nancy on 22, ready to celebrate the return of sweet and smooth steward, Stefano Filardi, after his extensive travels home to Italy and far further abroad. Join us for ridiculous revelry, gratis, from 9 til 1. Btw if yr planning a party or event on Friday September 15 and want me to bring tunes (plus possibly gear to play them on) let me know. I've an exceedingly rare chance to spread my wings on a weekend due to a previously-booked venue instead needing to install new equipment then. Get in touch! Anthemic audio for the last of the life we knew. Wednesday August the 23rd ~ Swingin' at the Speakeasy late, airing 10 til 1.30. Friday August the 25th ~ Sin City Soirée connects community through music melding bogus mind/body/spirit splits at the Hollywood on the final Friday of each month. Sham DJs (Liz Ham and Monsieur Merde) for free, 9 til 2. Saturday August the 26th ~ By way of tribute to the lovely Louis Tillett, Jack Off will air a long-lost interview (recently unearthed when the champions at the National Film and Sound Archive digitised all prior hard copies of the program) with Divinyls lead singer Chrissy Amphlett, which Louis sat in on after rocking up to FBi unannounced to say hi. As was often the case he was doing it terribly tough at the time. It is a testament to Chrissy's astute and caring nature that she automatically included Louis in the entire subsequent exchange. It one of my most cherished interviews. Each person is artistically integral in this country, while individually they remained an inspirational outlier. After growing up with each, I now miss them both. Following this trip back to 2005, we will resume live transmission with a performance by brilliant Brisbane duo Dippers (ex Thigh Master). Please tune in between 3 and 5 to experience an irreplaceable span of intimate conversation and culture. Heading north tomorrow for spring's first flush... Wednesday August the 16th ~ An anomalous Wednesday due to a private function that segues into a special early set by DJ Soup at Palmer & Co, then morphs into post-Matildas mayhem from 10.30 til very, very late. Always free! Saturday August the 19th ~ As I'll be in Queensland for my old man's 80th Jack Off will be hosted by super-producer Luce. Tune in to FBi Radio between 3 and 5 to hear her ace audio. I desperately need this (unprecedented) whole weekend off as my health has been persistently shaky of late so I'm looking to lap up some sand and sun in order to return stronger. Will be back in yr inbox with more stunning snaps next week I hope! Free sonic phonics to hoist freak flags hella high. Wednesday August the 9th ~ Swingin' at the Speakeasy flutters betwixt 10 and 1. Friday August the 11th ~ Time is immaterial at Maybe Sammy: 9 til 1 or so... Saturday August the 12th ~ Jack Off is eternally on air between 3 & 5 Saturdays.
