Singularly stunning scenarios in Sydney this week...

Thursday January the 9th ~

OpenAir Cinema screens hotly-tipped Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown for the opening night of their summer season down by the Botanic Gardens. I'll spin sixties sounds, freak folk and protest punk from 6 until the screen rises from the harbour as night falls. This initial screening is sold out but there are several others of the flick with tix on sale.

Friday January the 10th ~

Thence this slow horse will trot down to the CBD for my first return to Dean and Nancy on 22 since the insane scenes marking the first few hours of this year, high above the crowded city streets. My set spans 9 til half past midnight. Entry is free.

Saturday January the 11th ~

Only hours later I'll arrive at Wharf 2/3 (the home of the ACO) in The Rocks to soundtrack the first of three consecutive Saturday Sunrise Yoga sessions for Sydney Festival. All available tickets seem to have been taken for these classes (taught by Jazz Luna) however the first of the three Wednesdays (with a different DJ) has some still on sale.
Later that arvo Jack Off will air between 3 and 5, as ever, this time featuring a review of the forthcoming Dragonkeeper feature by mysterious occasional guest commentator ETA. Tune in!
Lastly, I'll return to play the same wharf I did at dawn, to a very different crowd, in a much more raucous context, bracketing a couple of live performances by Brissy's Dizzy Days at Syd Fest's Moonshine Bar. Free for all from 8 til midnight.

Friday December the 27th ~

Sin City Soirée extends an invitation to our highly horizontal final fling of the year, a post-xmas bash especially for the orphans and the over it, all night tomorrow (Fryday) at Pleasure Club - featuring Sham DJs (Hot Flush and myself) on the decks beneath the mutant mirror ball from half 9 til 4, plus Rosie Allways on the red velvet stage twice before midnight. Always free, all welcome, all in.

Somewhat safe ways to st(r)ay beyond the pale...

Wednesday November the 27th ~

Thursday November the 28th ~

Lines of code and god knows what else: relative speeds diverge at this annual private party, an(other) underground apocalyptic Computer Caper.

Friday November the 29th ~

Episode 2 of Sin City Soirée, at my 3rd below-ground venue this week, Pleasure Club, our final-friday monthly matriarch of music and mystery.

Meet yr womb-mates out late in Newtown, as chosen and random family converge to weave a whole new class of chaos.

Nature and nurture co-mingle in the form of Sham DJs (Hot Flush et moi), on from the get-go around half 9. Porcelain Alice goes AI to double the absurd burlesque from one pre-midnight show to another around 10.30 also.

Meanwhile the dancefloor never ends, til 4AM. An extended Sham silly season set. Still always free!

Saturday November the 30th ~

I finally hit street level at 3 when I enter FBi for the usual two hours of utterly unplanned aural adventure on Jack Off.

Last week with Princess Superstar was one for the ages. Hear the world premiere of her follow-up to viral global smash Perfect (Exceeder) performed live plus a gleeful chat about that whack video, industry shite, cleansing creativity and wild life cycles.

Then join me for a calming beverage at the Bat and Ball Hotel, the convenient neighbourhood pub abutting shot-up servos still putting the Slurry into them thar Hills. I'll serve up a gratis 4 hour set of local songs and lost classics from beyond.
