Cheeky

Here's a little glimpse of the beautiful Butcherbird who has visited my mother, inside her house, every day since she bought it years ago. There have been generations of young born to him and his partner in that time - he's a pretty old fella now... 

He is a gentle, wise and totemic presence up there - a true custodian, who has found in Mum a life-long friend and ally. I'm so glad the two of them have each other!
